Before this year, I had never participated in Black Friday shopping either online or in-stores. Something about the long lines and crazy people fighting each other over discounted televisions really turned me off to the idea! And I just never thought the deals online were all that great.
But this year, my mom and I decided to spontaneously go to Target later in the night after we finished Thanksgiving dinner, and I’m so glad we did! Target was offering 30% off all clothing, accessories and shoes, which I combined with the 15% off all clothing, accessories and shoes deal on Cartwheel and 5% off with my Red Card! I ended up getting a really good deal on a few staple pieces I needed for my Winter wardrobe. 🙂
Xhilaration Sleep Shirt – originally $17.99, got it for $10 (couldn’t find the exact link, but this one from Old Navy is pretty similar!)
Merona sweater – originally $34.99, got it for $20
Mossimo cowl pullover sweater – originally $27.99, got it for $19
Grayson Threads sweatshirt (looks and feels exactly like Wildfox!) – originally $17.99, got it for $10
I didn’t go shopping in stores on actual Black Friday, but I also got some really amazing deals online – this parka at J.Crew Factory, a few basic dresses, tops and flannels at Old Navy, and this monogram necklace I have been eyeing from Baublebar for what seems like forever!
Once everything comes, in I’ll write a more in-depth post showing what I bought and the specific deals I scored. 🙂
I know that Black Friday seems somewhat contradictory, but for a girl on a budget I just couldn’t pass up these amazing deals! Plus, I’m already done with most of my Christmas shopping and saved a ton of money by waiting for deals on Black Friday. I think as long as you realize that Thanksgiving and the holidays to come are about being thankful and spending time with family and loved ones, that’s all that matters.
I’d love to see what deals you found on Black Friday as well – feel free to leave me a comment or link below so I can check it out!
